Our Impact

We are proud of the difference we've made, and continue to make, in the lives of California Firefighters and their families.

We Are Making A Difference

Since the Foundation's birth in 2005, we've been making a significant impact and need your help to continue this effort. Funding for the Foundation comes from a variety of sources. Our Invitational Golf Tournament/Wine Tasting event, which is held in April, is the primary fundraiser for the Foundation. This event, combined with our other annual events and individual donations, has made a massive impact on California Firefighters and their families. Proceeds go directly to the families of those who have fallen, those who have suffered severe injuries, and burn victims.

Testimonials

"As a first responder family, we are used to helping others in their time of need. On November 8, 2018, we found our lives turned upside down by the Camp Fire, losing our home and all of our belongings. Within 24 hours, the CAL FIRE Benevolent Foundation was calling and asking if my family and I were OK, and how they could help. We cannot thank the Foundation enough for their support during our darkest hour."

"I can’t thank the Benevolent Foundation enough for their generous support of my family during a very difficult time. When my son, Zach, was diagnosed with a brain tumor and had to have surgery the next week, it was a complete shock. When he contracted bacterial meningitis and had a lengthy hospital stay, the financial assistance came at just the right time. We could focus on our son and his recovery and not the mounting medical bills and day-to-day living expenses. What a blessing for us to have the support of the Foundation, I can’t thank them enough."

"Kevin, we’re on our way to the movies. When we’re done there we might go somewhere else, because getting in and out is so easy now. We wanted to thank you once again, we’ve had this for two weeks, it is life-altering!" -Sustained spine injury and received support for in-home lift and transportation.
